Pershing Estates is a privately-owned Intermediate Care Facility/Institute for Mental Disease, designated by the State of Illinois for care of the mentally ill. Our facility is conveniently situated on a quiet cul-de-sac, close to shopping and a variety of community-based activities. Pershing Estates is a one-level living area with 137 beds. There is a designated smoking area that is monitored 24/7 with an enclosed patio and yard, front door security and current fire and safety systems. Pershing Estates is comprised of skilled professional nurses, and certified nurse's assistants on duty 24 hours a day. Our dedicated team is trained and equipped to provide individually-planned nursing care, crisis intervention, medication and diabetic classes. A comprehensive treatment plan is developed for each resident targeting all areas of daily living, assisting each individual in maintaining his/her optimal level of independence. PRSC's provide classes in Coping Skills, Substance Abuse, Anger Management, Community Living Skills, as well as promoting each resident's individual behavioral health wellness. |
